DIGICOM CEO/FOUNDER IS HONORED FOR HIS WORK IN EDUCATION

Palm Springs Life has selected David Vogel, CEO and founder of DIGICOM Learning, as one of 50 people on The Big List. Comprised of Coachella Valley influencers, The Big List highlights people “whose everyday work and decision-making impact the quality of life in Palm Springs and surrounding desert cities.”

Vogel was listed in the area of Education, along with Joel Kinnamon, superintendent and president of College of the Desert, and Jake Zhu, dean of California State University San Bernardino.

Formerly president of Walt Disney Motion Pictures, Vogel founded DIGICOM in 2008 as a way to improve K-12 learning through the art of digital storytelling. Today, instructors at DIGICOM Learning train teachers in digital storytelling and work with them side-by-side in classrooms throughout the Palm Springs, Desert Sands, and Coachella Valley school districts. DIGICOM also funds digital media after-school clubs and hosts two annual film festivals for students and teachers.
